The BIOPOLISTA team proudly contributed to this year’s ICPP (International Conference on Public Policy) conference in Chiang Mai/ Thailand by organizing a panel within the category Implementation, named “Assessing Policy Implementation Performance – The Role of Context”.

Headed by Nicolai Goritz from the BIOPOLISTA team the panel presented the two BIOPOLISTA papers “Unveiling the contextual determinants of Success and Failure in Environmental Policy Implementation: A Systematic Literature Review” (Von Pfister et al.) and “Assessing bioeconomy policy implementation performance in the case of Germany – Success and failure of the Bioeconomy Council” (Maria Proestou).

The panel which brought together scholars from India, Liberia, Mexico, Greece, Germany, South Africa, and the Netherlands discussed how contextual factors influence the effectiveness of policy implementation through theoretical and empirical contributions.
