The BIOPOLISTA team recently presented a co-authored paper, “Explaining Policy Implementation Success and Failure: A Systematic Literature Review,” at two conferences in June and August this year. The paper provides a systematic literature review of 150 studies, identifying key factors that influence why environmental policies succeed or fail in different contexts. It aims to deepen the understanding of effective policy design to enhance successful implementation in diverse environmental policy areas.
Jonas von Pfister delivered the presentation at the International Workshop on Public Policy (IWPP4) in Guadalajara, Mexico, that was organized by the International Public Policy Association (IPPA), which engaged over 300 policy researchers from 25 countries. Later, Dr. Nicolai Goritz (né Schulz) presented the paper at the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) General Conferencein Dublin, providing a further platform to discuss these findings within the Governance and Policies panel and highlighting their relevance to ongoing discussions on policy adaptation in varied governance contexts.
